Our actions

Five levers for action

01

Raising community awareness

We organize and support outreach activities designed to make men’s health more accessible and easier to understand.

Our actions may include:

  • conferences and information sessions;
  • community meetings;
  • men’s health forums;
  • outreach campaigns;
  • media programs and appearances;
  • digital campaigns;
  • distribution of educational materials.

Our goal is to build a lasting dialogue around men’s health.

02

Promoting prevention

Prevention is one of the pillars of our work. We encourage men and communities to better understand risk factors, warning signs and the ways to protect their health.

We pay particular attention to:

  • prostate health;
  • urological health;
  • andrological health;
  • male reproductive health;
  • prevention of non-communicable diseases;
  • health education.
03

Supporting early detection

Better information can help people receive earlier care when it is needed.

The Association works to:

  • improve awareness of signs and symptoms;
  • encourage appropriate medical consultation;
  • promote prevention and early-detection initiatives;
  • facilitate referral to qualified professionals and health facilities.

Screening and diagnostic examinations and decisions are the responsibility of healthcare professionals and must be adapted to each individual situation.

04

Mobilizing around PCCA

PCCA — Prostate Champions Center in Africa is one of our main platforms for action on prostate health.

Through PCCA, we are progressively developing:

  • prostate health education activities;
  • awareness campaigns;
  • community initiatives;
  • partnerships with healthcare professionals and facilities;
  • prevention and early-detection activities when conditions allow;
  • an African network dedicated to prostate health.

Mobilizing during Blue November

Every year, Blue November brings special visibility to men’s health. In Togo, Benin and Ghana, the Association builds momentum to:

  • inform;
  • raise awareness;
  • mobilize communities;
  • promote prevention;
  • encourage appropriate consultation;
  • place men’s health at the heart of public debate.

Blue November is a major annual highlight, while our commitment continues throughout the year.

Our impact

What we want to change

Improving knowledge

We aim to contribute to ensuring that more men have access to clear and reliable information about their health.

Strengthening a culture of prevention

Our ambition is to help make prevention a lasting practice rather than an occasional activity.

Encouraging appropriate consultation

We seek to help reduce delays associated with lack of information and encourage people to seek professional advice when necessary.

Building an African network

Our long-term objective is to develop a network of partners and stakeholders committed to men’s health across African countries.

Building bridges

We connect:

  1. 1Communities
  2. 2Healthcare Professionals
  3. 3Health Facilities
  4. 4Institutions
  5. 5Partners
Measuring our progress

Impact is not measured only by the number of activities carried out

These indicators help us continuously improve our programs and strengthen their reach.

We progressively monitor indicators such as:

  • number of people reached through awareness activities;
  • number of activities organized;
  • number of communities reached;
  • number of healthcare professionals and institutions involved;
  • number of countries engaged;
  • media and digital campaign reach;
  • prevention initiatives implemented;
  • referrals to appropriate health services;
  • partnerships established.
Our ambition

We want to move:

  • from information to awareness,
  • from awareness to prevention,
  • from prevention to early detection,
  • from local action to African impact.

Our ambition is to contribute to the emergence of a genuine African culture of men’s health prevention.

Together, Let Us Advance Men’s Health in Africa

For Better Men’s Health. For Better Prevention. For a Healthier Africa.
